Medechat is a cloud based, online platform that facilitates communication between vets or vet nurses / technicians and pet owners. Using video consultations vets can work from anywhere, anytime that suits them. Medechat was produced by Dr Moss Siddle BVSc to help enhance the mental health of veterinarians by allowing them to earn more & work flexibly. VetCheck 24/7 is a virtual vet clinic that allows pet owners to access health information from registered veterinarians anytime. Vets contracted to work for VetCheck 24/7 are paid per consultation performed enabling them to earn A$120+ / hour. Vets have full control over when & where they work. Medechat welcomes qualified and registered vets from countries that have a reciprocal work agreement and recognition of qualifications in Australia.
Company History
Medechat (a VetCheck Pty Ltd company) started development in 2018. VetCheck app (owned by Dr Moss Siddle's other company Chrismoss Enterprises Pty Ltd) was developed in 2012. The 2 products complement each other. VetCheck app is designed to help pet owners store and record their pet's details (diary) including reminders for medications, appointment bookings, fun trivia, vet medical information and direct access to VetCheck 24/7 vets for video consultations. Medechat was developed in response to the poor mental health status of a lot of vets around the world. Medechat offers a different model for vet practices to use to help prevent burnout in their vet staff by allowing flexible work hours and a better income model.

Vets can choose when they work (full control over their calendar) and be paid a proportion of the consultation fee every time they work. Medechat (VetCheck 24/7) is suitable for all vets who have some consulting experience and good communication skills. Vets who cannot work in practice any more due to disability, allergies, adverse chemical reactions, unsuitable hours (eg. parent duties), immune system risks, other work place hazards, mental health challenges, etc can quite easily work using Medechat. Join a network of vets who recognise the failings of the current vet practice working model and earn a better income. Vets can maintain part time work in practice and work using Medechat at other times that they choose.
