JCU Vet is your partner in pet care, providing the Townsville and North Queensland community with a comprehensive range of veterinary health care services and medical treatments.
Our state-of-the-art veterinary hospital provides general practice services and a referral centre for complex medicine, surgery, anaesthesia, imaging, dermatology, and cardiology cases.
JCU Vet is also a teaching hospital – dedicated to excellence in education, training and research. We are located at the James Cook University campus and have an important role in training Australia’s next generation of leaders in veterinary medicine.
Company History
JCU Vet was established in late 2009, and has purpose-built state of the art diagnostic, medical and surgical facilities.
The hospital was created to provide exceptional clinical tuition to final year veterinary science students and a comprehensive veterinary referral service to the North Queensland Community.
We pride ourselves on contributing to the next generation of veterinarians, and we are dedicated to helping mould clinicians who are competent, confident, and committed to helping us raise the industry to new heights.
With our cohort of veterinary students steadily increasing, we look forward to the hospital’s future and the opportunity to continue to bring innovative medicine and exceptional care to the surrounding community.
