Dandenong Ranges Veterinary Centre was established in 1999. Originally it was a mixed practice but became a small animal practice in 2016. It is a non-corporate, independent family owned practice (the only one in the immediate area). The practice services the villages of Olinda, Mt Dandenong, Sassafras, Kalorama, Ferny Creek, Kallista and Tremont. The owner, Moss Siddle is the current chair of the AVA Veterinary Business Group and also has a telemedicine business (Medechat) as well as a pet diary app (VetCheck) and operates VetCheck 24/7 a remote triage service. Dandenong Ranges Vet Centre can do house calls for patients and has spacious premises set in beautiful natural surroundings in the heart of the village of Olinda (North end). The surgery is environmentally conscious with solar panels, battery and practices recycling of disposable medical items like syringe caps.
Company History
Established in 1999 at a premises around the corner from the current location (moved in 2003) in the Olinda (North) village. The practice stopped servicing clients after hours in 2006 and now refer all after hours calls to vetCheck 24/7 where a triage nurse speaks to clients directly. If there is an emergency the patient is directed to an emergency centre.
