We’re inviting applications for two small animal Critical Care internships in 2022.  Internship positions are available from January 2022 for 12 months.

Queensland Veterinary Specialists and Pet Emergency share two facilities across Brisbane’s northside, providing referral soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic surgery, internal medicine, oncology, dermatology, theriogenology, diagnostic imaging, critical care and emergency medicine.

Our successful applicants will be committed, intelligent, open-minded scientists, and dedicated, willing, enthusiastic veterinarians with a keen interest in the discipline of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care and a minimum of one year’s experience in clinical practice. Salary is in excess of the Award.

+ Interns will rotate through primary accession Emergency Medicine and referral Critical Care services.

+ Training facilitates entry into advanced training positions like specialist training, residency, graduate study, or advanced general practice. The EMCC internship is ideal for clinicians intending to sit for Membership examination in EMCC and/or pursue residency training.

+ We are experienced and successful having trained more than 165 interns over 27 years.

+ More than 75% have gone on to advanced training and specialist and/or academic positions worldwide in medicine, surgery, oncology, zoo medicine, pathology, dentistry, neurology, ophthalmology, dermatology, oral surgery and emergency/critical care.
