Description
Position available for 2 enthusiastic veterinarians in a mixed mainly dairy practice in the Murray irrigation region of Victoria. 1 position available immediately and the other mid-year when a colleague retires. The practice sits in a small country town adjacent to the Gunbower National Park and the Murray River. The town boasts excellent sporting, educational and medical services and is a 40 min drive to the restaurants and cinema of Echuca. We are an hour from Bendigo and a lovely 3 hour drive to Melbourne. Working from a purpose built clinic we are well equipped and service a large area although most work is within 35 kms. We are not associated with any corporate entity. so you can practice how you please. We are looking for someone confident and capable. Someone happy scanning cows, performing abdominal surgery, scanning the occasional mare and who also enjoys small animal medicine, and surgery and everything else that comes with mixed practice. We are after someone amenable to fit in with our relaxed and casual yet always professional environment. if you are an experienced colleague you will be very well rewarded. The position is also open to a confident new graduate who is looking for a longer tenure. Starting salary package inclusive of everything from 72 to 115k plus motor vehicle plus 50% of AHRS fees. The roster is 1 in 3 to 1 in 4 depending on staffing levels at the time. We offer all of the usual conditions and are very supportive of any special interests. We work hard when busy but like to have a laugh and a chat when the pressure is off. Practice inventory too long for here but includes large animal wise a cattle tipper, mobile horse crush, Edge power float, electro ejaculator and multiple ultrasounds. Small animal wise Abaxis blood analysers, 6 probe ultrasound, im3 dental cart, much orthopaedic equipment (we do most of our own) and digital Xray.
