The Vet & Pet Centre Aberdeen is looking for a Veterinarian to join our team.

Suitable for you and your family if you are looking for a tree change.  Life is relaxed in the beautiful Upper Hunter, yet city experiences easily accessible with Sydney 2 ½ hrs away and getting closer as the Hunter expressway bypasses more towns.  Newcastle and Tamworth are an easy 1 ½ hr drive.

The Vet & Pet Centre is a family owned fully equipped progressive Small Animal Hospital built in 2013. Nursing staff are loyal, highly skilled and experienced. The case load is varied with a mix of surgical and medical cases.

The clinic is open 5 ½ days a week with limited after hours and the position is negotiable for full or part time as required. An experienced vet is preferred, however new grads will be considered. Remuneration will depend on experience but a generous package including 6wks paid holiday leave and other benefits is envisaged. 

We need a vet who is gentle, caring and appreciative of clients needs and will uphold high standards of veterinary care and is passionate and motivated to provide quality and excellent work.  Access and paid leave for continued education will be provided, we want you to be your best.   Whilst the work within the hospital will be required to be energetic, challenging and proficient, this will be balanced with a relaxed and amazing lifestyle.

In the position you will have support where necessary and for the right candidate you will  have the option to be autonomous and grow in the areas of your own interest.  The workplace and staff are flexible and family orientated. The Upper Hunter is a picturesque region with easy access to plenty of horses, vineyards, golf, fishing, water skiing and national parks whilst being close to city life and Newcastle airport.  For families with children the Upper Hunter is serviced with some great educational options.
